Details:JOB TITLE-              Manager, Clinical Research Operations – Trial Management                       GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES- Coordinating and supervising trial management administrative and operational responsibilities for assigned SCRI Research Consortiums clinical research trial projects from site implementation to data lock with a key focus on tactical enforcement of day-to-day task delegation and execution, staff mentoring and training, and overall management oversight.  Collaborate with Study Chairs, senior management and staff to identify key quality and training needs and opportunities for improvement in the conduct of Consortium clinical research sponsored trials. Assist in the development of appropriate training operational tools, resources and capabilities that foster consistency, efficiency, and strong relationships between internal and external partners, research sites, and pharmaceutical funding partners. DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:·         Oversee overall trial management operations for all Consortium projects through direct supervision and mentoring of assigned staff members to ensure that tasks are performed with quality, on schedule, within budget, in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, in accordance with Consortium policies, pharmaceutical funding partner and Study Chair specifications. Provide periodic project reporting to senior leadership.·         Serve as key trainer/mentor and expert resource to varying levels of Clinical Research Specialists in the review and implementation of appropriate trial management operational tools, strategies, resources and capabilities that foster consistency, efficiency, and strong relationships between internal/external partners and research sites.·         Working in a matrix management environment, serve as an expert resource to trial management staff members to oversee and facilitate the development and implementation of tools, plans and strategies for data review, query, tracking, expectation, enrollment, and quality production for Consortium clinical research projects.·         Oversee Consortium network monitoring with creation of individual monitoring plans as per site specifications. Perform and document monitoring visits, site qualification and various site visits as appropriate.·         Support Consortium leadership in goals and objectives of Consortium trial management and operations. ·         Assess assigned trial management staff on work assignments, utilization and productivity.·         Collaborate with relevant staff to develop written performance standards for trial management personnel.·         Provide direct supervision for various Consortium staff members. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, facilitation of internal partnering, orientation and training, performance evaluations, career development plans, work assignments, vacation schedules, and serving as a mentor.·         Review information from audit reports and project status sessions (i.e., lessons learned for completed or ongoing projects) to identify opportunities to improve the conduct of Consortium clinical research projects. Coordinate the communication of recommendations to senior leadership and other relevant staff members.·         Facilitate problem-resolution and issue escalation across all Consortium projects.·         Provides proactive and creative recommendations on how to meet goals and handle identified deviations.·         Conduct performance evaluations with Senior management for assigned staff.
